Learning Through Arts aims to:
* provide access for all to the unique opportunities,
discoveries, challenges, learning, development and
achievement that participation in creative work offers.
* inspire participation through the development of
relevant, diverse and innovative programmes and projects.
* enable participants to explore their creativity and their
ability to express themselves as individuals; and to
communicate their ideas, their community identity and
their perspective of world around them through
contemporary and multi-cultural art work.
* build capacity within creative education through training
opportunities and continuing professional development
programmes and activities for teachers and creative
practitioners.
* create effective partnerships for learning between
teaching and creative professionals from the diverse
fields of education and the creative industries.
How we do it:
* Learning Through Arts has a team of highly experienced creative professionals who are not only specialists in their
own area, but also have considerable experience of creative education and of working in partnership with schools.
* All projects and programmes are tailor-made to suit the aims, needs, interests and learning objectives of the participant
group.
* Projects are developed through extensive planning in partnership with the teaching professionals involved, and are preferably
facilitated through partnership working.
* Art-forms and related creative practice are brought together as desired to create the most effective combination of
creative practise for each project. Learning Through Arts practitioners welcome team working.
