Learning Through Arts collaborative team
LTA works with a number of very experienced creative professionals, who not only have expertise in their own specialist
field, but also in working in schools with students and staff, both as practitioners and as development workers.

Debi Hedderwick,
Creative Director, biography
Apart from intitiating and directing LTA, Debi is a choreographer, performer and creative educator who works with people
of all ages and ranges of experience to explore contemporary dance, to make new dance theatre, and to enhance learning and
personal development through creative processes.
Believing that dance is a transforming participatory experience, and should be open to everyone to enjoy, she encourages
inclusion and inspires creativity! Realising the access issues that many young people experience in rural areas, Debi attempts
to bring contemporary dance to areas and communities that it has never reached before!
Debi works in Early Years, Primary and Secondary, and has considerable experience in Special Education, with young people
outside of formal education, and also provides training opportunities for teachers and other creative practitioners.
Outside of LTA Debi is proud to have worked in the last couple of years with Theatre of Possibility, directed by John
Naylor, and Genius Loci, directed by Brian Boothby and with Creative Partnerships BAM, Nottingham and Derby.
